Conflicts of Interest

A Complete and Comprehensive Conflict Avoidance System.

Managing conflict avoidance is a critical task for all firms. Great conflict software must address two fundamental needs for your firm: intelligent entry of related parties into the conflict database and logical search features. Orion software provides you with superior methods for doing both.

Through integration with all other Orion software components, many key conflict records are created for you automatically. We then provide you with an interface that allows the creation of additional records. For searching, we offer powerful features that will quickly identify conflicts in seconds.
  • Entering Conflicts
    Many conflict records such as Client and Matter Names, Adversaries, Opposing Counsel, etc. are created automatically for you upon entry into Orion. Additional parties can be added either as separate records or as text in our fully searchable Notes field. Relationships can be user defined.

  • Searching
    Orion offers many powerful functions that allow full Boolean logic searches. Wildcard and string searches are also available. You can search all fields or restrict the search to specified fields. Perform sub-set searches or batch searches to complete several searches at the same time. Search results take just a few seconds regardless of the size of your conflicts database.

  • Reporting
    Your search results are returned to an onscreen table with an indication of the number of "hits". The user can quickly customize the table to determine how the information will be displayed and the sort order of the records. Displayed records can then be output to a report in detail or summary format.
